Submission to the UK Law Commission on Intimate Image Abuse Consultation
This submission was made in response to the UK Law Commission Consultation on Intimate Image Abuse. We applaud the UK Government’s and Law Commission’s plans and efforts to address the gaps in the laws in England and Wales that aim to provide protection from intimate image abuse, in an age where technological advancements have made taking and sharing of such
images easier and more prevalent. We also note that with increasing and intensifying misogyny online intimate image abuse disproportionately affects women and girls.
