Global HR and Administration Manager
Jelena Malceva joined Equality Now in January 2022. As Global HR and Administration Manager, she supports the global business human resources and administrative functions, which are the backbone of the organization’s work. This role advances Equality Now’s vision by developing, implementing and facilitating organizational policies as well as processes, to enhance equity, engagement, transparency and accountability. It ensures that organizational values, cultural awareness and sensitivity are imbued among the organization’s dispersed staff while applying a racial and gender equity lens to staff management.
She is currently based in London, UK. Jelena is fluent in English, Lithuanian and Russian.
Jelena holds a Batchelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Klaipeda’s University in Lithuania and a Master’s Degree in Minorities, Rights and the Law from Middlesex University in the UK. She is also an Associate Member of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) with Level 3 and Level 5 Diplomas in Human Resource Management.
Jelena has more than eight year of HR experience and joined Equality Now, after having served as HR and Office Manager at Womankind Worldwide; an international women’s rights organization in the UK. Previously she held various HR, Administrative and Operational roles with several organizations in the UK such as Responsible Jewellery Council and Royal College of Pathologists.
Outside of work, Jelena spends time with her family and beloved dog Spulia. She loves to travel and uses every opportunity possible to do so. She enjoys cycling in London and exploring the city. She is a big art lover in all its forms – music, theatre, dance, galleries, museums, exhibitions. Jelena also likes reading books (especially biographies and auto-biographies), dancing and trying out new cuisines.
