“By measuring where the law treats men and women differently, Women, Business and the Law shines a light on how women's incentives or capacity to work are affected by the legal environment and provides a basis for improving regulation.”

Global Executive Director, Yasmeen Hassan will take part in a panel on ending sex discrimination in the law at the launch of the World Bank’s 4th edition of its global Women, Business and the Law report. She will be joined by Meaza Ashenafi, UNECA Advisor on Women's Human Rights and former Equality Now Board Member, and Caren Grown, World Bank Senior Director for Gender. Mina Al-Oraibi, former journalist for Asharq Al-Awsat will moderate the discussion. The launch will be livestreamed and you can also follow on Twitter at #WomenBizLaw. Following the event will be a screening of the Sundance Festival award-winning Film Difret and a Q&A with its Producer, Dr. Mehret Mandefro.
