New York City: EN's Yasmeen Hassan will speak on women's rights following a performance of the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre's all female Pakistani play, Acquittal. Motivated by the playwright's own experiences in prison, Acquittal is a groundbreaking play that focuses on four Pakistani women unjustly imprisoned during General Zia-ul-Haq’s discriminatory Hudood Ordinances in the 1980’s.

Equality Now, along with our partners, hosts a panel discussion at the United Nations headquarters in New York City focused on using the Global Plan of action to combat sex trafficking in persons and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end the scourge of trafficking in women and girls. Invite only
