Taryn Kurz

Office Manager and Bookkeeper

Taryn joined Equality Now in April 2019, bringing with her a wealth of administrative experience working in a variety of industries, most recently as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper at a Synagogue in Brooklyn. Prior to that, Taryn was an Executive/Personal Assistant at a Political Consulting & Public Relations firm in NYC. These positions presented numerous opportunities to organize events, meet and network with politicians, and learn about the importance of affecting systemic change.

Taryn feels that education and lobbying for systemic change is the best way to show girls and women around the world that they are not alone and that together we stand as one. Navigating the legal system and assessing laws and policies to end gender inequality is essential to achieve the fundamental human rights everyone is entitled to, in law and practice.

When she’s not in the office, Taryn enjoys spending time with her spunky little girl who taught her that jumping on the bed is a great way to start your day! A favorite quote of hers reads, “I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.” – Edward Everett Hale
