Paula Ravets (USA)

Global Board


Dr. Ravets is a practicing clinical psychologist and certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher. She has a private practice in Beverly Hills, CA working with adolescents and adult individuals in the areas of mood disorders and life transitions.

She has always been interested in the notion that physician well-being directly correlates to the well-being of patients in their care and so initiated an ongoing meditation program with the Spiritual Care department of Cedars-Sinai Hospital. For the past five years Paula has taught a weekly meditation class to staff and medical practitioners at the hospital and lectures there regularly on topics relating to meditation, wellness and resiliency.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA Paula earned a BA in Psychology from an all-women’s college- now Chatham University, and later received her doctorate in Psychology from USC.

A lifelong feminist and advocate for women’s rights, Dr. Ravets joined the advisory board of Equality Now in 2013 and has been working with accomplished young women in the entertainment industry to help bring the work of Equality Now to a wider audience. She has also co-chaired each of the “Make Equality a Reality” events in LA over the past 8 years. Dr. Ravets also serves on the Board of the Malibu Film Society and is the Community Liaison for the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA.

Paula lives in Los Angeles with her husband, crazy rescue boxer and has raised two young men she is proud to call feminists.
