As the Global Director of Development, Amy oversees Equality Now’s Fund Development Team, steering the organization’s fundraising strategy and donor relations efforts across individual, corporate and institutional giving. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she also contributes to organizational planning and management, and helps design and implement strategies for bringing more resources to women’s movements worldwide.
Amy has more than 20 years of experience in development, strategic partnerships and marketing for human rights and social justice organizations. Most recently, she worked for a consulting firm where she provided development leadership and strategic planning services to help a wide range of organizations grow and achieve their mission. Prior to that, she was the National Director of Development at NAMI, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, where she designed and implemented fundraising strategies and systems that increased revenue by 80% in 3 years. Amy has also served as a Development Director at the Center for American Progress and Just Associates. She earned her Master’s Degree at American University, where her studies focused on race, class, gender and social justice.
Originally from New Orleans, Amy currently lives in Washington, DC. Outside of work, she is an avid rock climber, loves music, creative activism, and the great outdoors.
