The recommendations contained in this report from the Intercollegiate Group (Equality Now, Royal Colleges of Midwives, Nursing and Obstetricians, and Gynaecologists and UNITE) and its partners, demonstrate solidarity to raise awareness of the need to intervene early to prevent FGM in the UK.
They call for health and social care agencies, the UK Department for Education, and the police to integrate FGM prevention into national and local strategies for safeguarding children from FGM abuse.
