Palestine – Equality Now joint submission to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women 68th Session October 2017

This joint report deals with our concerns regarding:

1. the discriminatory legislation related to family status laws, focusing on how Palestinian women’s rights are violated in relation to CEDAW Article 16; and
2. Penal Law issues and Gender-Based Violence in relation to CEDAW General Recommendations (19) and (35). 

The Committee referenced this submission in their Concluding Observations.
