Dana Schweer joined Equality Now in March 2018. With nearly a decade of experience working for nonprofit causes, she specializes in corporate partnerships and celebrity engagement. Her prior experience includes fundraising and communications work at the United States Fund for UNICEF, the March of Dimes Foundation and the United Nations World Food Programme. She also successfully ran her own consulting company, DC | Digital Communications, where she worked with entrepreneurs in the social good, entertainment, education and retail industries. Dana holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University (US) and dual B.A. degrees in International Affairs and Political Science from Florida State University.
Dana is passionate about leveraging relationships to build awareness and generate funds for issues affecting women and children around the world. Her favorite quote is by Angelina Jolie, who is also one of her “sheroes”: “What the worst people in the world fear most is justice.”
Outside the office, Dana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and their mini-dachshunds, Siena and Alila. She loves traveling, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, boating, reading, writing, and pretending she likes learning how to cook.
