Vivian Lantier joined Equality Now in October 2017. With a decade of nonprofit development experience, Vivian has worked for organizations including the Wildlife Conservation Society, The Juilliard School, the US Fund for UNICEF and most recently Worldfund. It was her time spent in Thailand as a Fulbright Scholar that initially sparked Vivian’s interest in philanthropy. Vivian holds a BA in Communication and Spanish from Fairfield University (US) and a MA in International Education from New York University.
Vivian’s “shero" is her mother who came to the United States from Cuba in the 60s and devoted her life to promoting the importance of English as a second language programs for children. Vivian is dedicated to ensuring her daughter grows up in a world that is equal and that gives her all the opportunities she deserves to reach her fullest potential. Vivian’s favorite quote is by Salvador Dalí: “Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.”
Outside the office, Vivian enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and teaching her daughter about different places and cultures.
