On March 29-30, 2022, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights will hear the groundbreaking case of Brisa De Angulo Losada v. Bolivia (Case No. CDH 10-2020). Brisa was repeatedly raped and tortured by an adult family member in 2002 in Bolivia. When she sought justice and support from the Bolivian government, not only did the judicial system fail her (and continues to fail her), but it also violated her international human rights, cementing the culture of impunity.

She is the face of hundreds of thousands of children and adolescents who experience sexual violence not only in Bolivia, but across the Americas, and around the world.

Journalists and media representatives are invited to join Brisa and members of her legal team immediately following the hearing on March 30th, for a debriefing session where they will share their reactions and insights regarding the hearing, and will invite questions from journalists.

Language interpretation in English and Spanish will be provided.

  • Brisa De Angulo Losada, Founder and CEO of A Breeze of Hope Foundation
