Yukiko Tsunoda was admitted to the Japan Federation of Bar Associations in 1975 and is currently a Professor of Law at Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan. Since 1986, she has worked as a legal advisor for the Tokyo Rape Crisis Center, and has worked in the areas of women’s human rights, in particular rape, sexual harassment and domestic violence. Ms. Tsunoda has served as the president of the Center for Education and Support for Women, Japan, since 2001, and also gives lectures on the issue of women’s rights to women’s organizations and others throughout Japan.
