Susana Chiarotti

Susana Chiarotti is a feminist lawyer with a post-graduate degree in Family Law who lives in Rosario, Argentina. Susana was the regional coordinator for CLADEM (Committee on Latin America and the Caribbean for the Defense of Women's Rights) from 1996 to 2006 and led the monitoring program from 2007 to June of 2011. She is a member of the Advisory Council of CLADEM and serves as a member of the Committee of Experts on Violence against Women (CEVI-MESECVI) of the OAS (Monitoring Mechanism of the Convention on the Prevention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence against Women). Susana is also currently the Director of INSGENAR (Institute of Gender, Law and Development) in Rosario, Argentina; Professor of the Masters "Power and Society from the perspective of Gender," School of Philosophy, UNR, and professor at the Diploma of Gender and Justice of FLACSO (Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences).
