Amanda Sullivan started volunteering for Equality Now in 1994, became an Office Manager in 1996 and has been the Women’s Action Network Director since 1998. Prior to joining Equality Now, she worked as a television commercial agent and in radio. Always questioning authority, Ms. Sullivan went to Woodstock, protested the Vietnam War both in Cambridge, Massachusetts and New York City, marched for no nukes and reproductive rights and, as her awareness and anger grew, decided to dedicate herself to ending injustices against women. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Hunter College.
