Equality Now works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world through the mobilization of public pressure. Issues of concern to Equality Now include:

RAPE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS TRAFFICKING FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION POLITICAL PARTICIPATION GENDER DISCRIMINATION

Call on the government of Afghanistan to reinstate Malalai Joya to Parliament and to protect Afghan women. Take action to protest the Ethiopian government's restrictions on the operations of non-governmental organizations. Call on the government of Mali to urgently pass a law against female genital mutilation. Take action to stop the imminent execution by stoning of Kobra Najjar in Iran! Take action to protect trafficking victims in the U.S.! Zambian court reaches landmark decision in teacher rape case. Equality Now President Jessica Neuwirth gives testimony on the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act at the New York City Council, 11 June 2008.
